I played my first tournament before I had completed playing a course fully through more than three times-let alone twice in one day-and let me tell you it was one of the best decisions of my life! I started running my own tournaments and started my own female disc golf club less than a year into playing disc golf-because sometimes we grow the most by doing scary things! My goal with disc golf has always been to have fun and make sure everyone can play-whether they can throw 50 ft or 500-you are welcome out on the course. Disc golf is one of the most welcoming communities I can think of-even though I learned to play with all pros they celebrated every inch of my growth.
